Our guest speakers:

Aimee Clarke

Aimee has been part of Community Interest Luton since 2012, she joined the organisation on a part time basis while studying at college, becoming full time after University. In 2016, at the age of 22, she became a Director of the CIC and in 2017 the treasurer of the charity. Aimee exemplifies the vision of the project in giving back to the community and providing them with opportunities. Since joining has become an asset to the organisation, watching CIL grow from strength to strength. She has also run youth projects and helps with all of the other projects that CIL runs.

Mostaque Koyes DL

Mostaque Koyes is the founder of CIL and also runs a successful print and design company (Bartham Group). In 2009, he set up Community Magazine and the first Annual Community Awards for Luton and Bedfordshire. He followed this by setting up the Curry Club network with the aim of bringing diverse groups and individuals together once a month in the same room and providing an email forum for contact. Over the years CIL has grown from strength to strength now providing employment support through the LETS hub, Health and Wellbeing through the Men's & Women's Gym, and a variety of other small projects. He most recently became a Deputy Lieutenant of Bedfordshire and the Community Ambassador for Luton Town Football Club.

Bina Briggs

Bina Briggs founded Plain Talking HR Ltd in 2009, along with her business partner. After 8 years working in partnership, she is now flying solo as the Director of the company. Bina arrived in the UK as a refugee from Uganda in 1972. Both her general life experiences and her background working in the corporate world gave her a strong foundation for the work she now carries out for her clients. Bina was previously Human Resources Manager for London Luton Airport, and has over 17 years’ experience in the Aviation Industry. She holds a Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development qualification and has commercial experience supporting businesses in industries such as education, manufacturing and global merchandising.

Sajid Iqbal

Sajid Iqbal is the Director of Prism Glazing Ltd. Whilst working towards his Business Management degree, Sajid began working his way up, eventually working in management for large retailers including ASDA, Superdrug and Sainsbury's . With a successful 10 year management career in retail and sales, Sajid has now set up his own limited company, where he is Director and is also managing a small local events company.
